Privacy Policy

Cleanswype is built around a simple principle: your photos stay yours. Photo review and optional Smart Analysis happen on your device. Cleanswype does not upload your photos, screenshot contents, or analysis results to us.
Who we are
Cleanswype is developed by Sigsen (“Cleanswype,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). For privacy questions or requests, email hello@sigsen.ai.
Photos access
Cleanswype requests access to your Apple Photos library so it can display screenshots and carry out the actions you choose, such as favoriting, adding an item to an album, or requesting deletion. You may grant Full Access or Limited Access. With Limited Access, Cleanswype can only work with items you select. You can change Photos access at any time in iOS or iPadOS Settings.
A deletion is first staged inside Cleanswype. Nothing is removed from Photos until you review Pending Deletes, confirm your choice, and approve Apple’s system prompt. Deleted photos generally remain in Apple’s Recently Deleted album for a limited period according to your Photos settings.
On-device Smart Analysis
If you choose to use Smart Analysis, Cleanswype uses Apple frameworks on your device to recognize text and barcodes, suggest categories, create local visual fingerprints, and identify likely similar screenshots. Screenshot images, recognized text, classifications, barcodes, and fingerprints are not sent to Cleanswype or to a Cleanswype server.
Apple’s Photos framework may use a network connection managed by the operating system to retrieve an item stored in iCloud Photos. Cleanswype does not operate or control iCloud Photos.
Information stored on your device
Cleanswype stores app preferences, review decisions, cleanup history, collections, pending-delete state, local analysis results, and free-tier usage in the app’s private container on your device. This information supports app features and is not uploaded by Cleanswype. You can clear relevant history or analysis data using controls offered in the app. Deleting the app removes its local app container, subject to Apple’s operating-system behavior and any device backups you control.
Purchases
Cleanswype Pro is offered as a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles payment and App Store account information under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. Cleanswype does not receive or store your payment-card details and does not operate a purchase server. The app reads Apple-provided StoreKit transaction and entitlement status to unlock and restore your purchase.
Data collection, tracking, and advertising
Cleanswype does not require an account and does not include advertising, third-party analytics, cross-app tracking, or a crash-reporting SDK. The app does not sell personal information. Because Cleanswype does not collect photo content or app analytics on a developer server, we do not use that information for profiling or marketing.
Children’s privacy
Cleanswype is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
Security and retention
App-managed information remains in Apple’s app sandbox on your device until you clear it through available app controls or remove the app, subject to device backups and operating-system behavior. No method of storage is completely risk-free, so we recommend protecting your device with a passcode and current software.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate way.
